Suzette Boyd
Head of Scotch Library and Information Services
Suzette has worked in all sectors
of secondary education - co-ed, all girls and now all boys.
She is the author of many published articles and regularly speaks
at conferences and runs workshops throughout Australia and overseas,
and recently published
The Connected Library: A handbook for engaging users (Utopia Press,2006).
Suzette has earned her reputation for innovative ideas and practice
by pushing boundaries, creative marketing and customer service.
She was the co-founder of Contemporary Promotions
which organised the "Schools Literature Festivals" at the World
Congress Centre during the early 1990's.
Sharing her love of reading and literature with young people has
resulted in Suzette editing two collections of short stories for
Harper Collins - "Between You and Me" (1989) and
"Fatal Twists" (1993).

1999 Winner of the Australian Library and Information Association
Award for innovation in a school library.
1999 Winner of the Progressive School Library Media Award
from the International Association of School Librarianship
1994 Winner of the inaugural Dromkeen Librarian Award
A national award open to all school and public librarians involved
in promoting literature and a love of reading amongst children and
teenagers.
