Down Under, is a journal-like recollection of Bill Bryson’s trip around parts of Australia. Bill Bryson an American born, Englishmen, is a famous author for his comprehensive recollections. The reason I found this book so interesting to read, is because I found it intriguing how a foreigner to our country observes our differences in culture, language and traditions (sport, holidays etc.). This book also taught me a lot about Australia which didn’t have a clue about, especially in the history of Politics and European settlement. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about our great country whilst being entertained at the same time.
