How to post

Note: To write a post you must first register. To do this click on ‘Click here to register’ in the left column on the front page of The Portal.

Once you have registered, click on Click here to write a post  in the left column on the front page of The Portal.

Log in with your user name & password. The ‘Dashboard’ screen will appear. Click on ‘Write a new post’.

The ‘Write Post’ screen will appear. Type in a title, then your post content. Sign it with your user name (not your full real name).

Scroll down to ‘Categories’. Choose the categories which best describe the subject of your post  (not more than 2 please). 

Click ‘Submit for review’. The post will be published once it has been checked by the site administrator.

Note 1. If you are publishing an image that does not belong to you, the source must be cited. Include the website address and date accessed at the bottom of your post.

Note 2. If you haven’t finished writing your post you may click ‘Save’ instead. To return to it later, click on Click here to write a post  in the left column on the front page of The Portal. Log on then choose ‘Manage’. On the ‘Manage Posts’ screen choose ‘Drafts’ from the blue links near the top of the page. Your saved post will appear as a blue link which you can then click on to continue writing your post.
