Scotch staff and friends do the Australian Readers' Challenge

The Australian Readers' Challenge (ARC) is a practical way for Australians to help other Australians to experience the joys of reading and the incalculable, lifelong benefits which follow.

Recent research has shown that in some Indigenous communities the illiteracy rates are as high as 93%.  ARC is a literacy project that raises funds to support the literacy work of The Fred Hollows Foundation and Ian Thorpe's Fountain for youth Trust in these communities.

At the same time ARC hopes to promote a love of books and reading among the broader Australian community.

ARC is a non-profit project of the Australian Bookselling and Publishing industries in association with The Fred Hollows Foundation and Ian Thorpe's Fountain for youth Trust.
