Literature Club Program – Term 4, 2009.
For boys who are readers, interested in cultural activities or
who aspire to be better informed about the arts
Aim
- To provide a meaningful activity at lunchtimes
- To provide a focus for all boys from year 7-12 who are interested
in reading and writing
- To have fun and learn about the world of literature
- To provide enrichment activities that are different to classroom
type activities
Staffing
Co-ordinators: Miss Angela Morris and Ms Suzette Boyd
Activities
- After hours excursions to movies, plays, lectures, special events
- Book-buying expeditions
- Author visits
- Author promotions
- Attending book launches and literature festivals
- Visit publishing houses
- Working with illustrators/storytellers
- Involvement in special events, like the Scotch Literature Festival
