For boys who are readers, interested in cultural activities or who aspire to be better informed about the arts

Aim

  • To provide a meaningful activity at lunchtimes
  • To provide a focus for all boys from year 7-12 who are interested in reading and writing
  • To have fun and learn about the world of literature
  • To provide enrichment activities that are different to classroom type activities

Staffing

Co-ordinators: Miss Angela Morris and Ms Suzette Boyd

Activities

  • After hours excursions to movies, plays, lectures, special events
  • Book-buying expeditions
  • Author visits
  • Author promotions 
  • Attending book launches and literature festivals
  • Visit publishing houses
  • Working with illustrators/storytellers
  • Involvement in special events, like the Scotch Literature Festival
