Workshop titles: Using visualisation as a way into writing (Yr 11,12)
Do you have trouble getting started with a piece of writing? Do you spend hours chewing the end of your pen waiting for "inspiration", waiting for an idea to write about? We live rich lives. We are constantly involved in, caught up in, affected by what is going on both about us and within us. Experience is like constant rain, always falling our way. Memory collects in our mind, forms a great underground ocean, and it's this ocean we attempt to tap when we create - when we write or paint or compose music. In this session we will use simple techniques of relaxation, silent meditation and visualisation to access the content of our minds - to establish the flow of words and ideas from the depths of our minds and onto the page.

Session Details: Year 11 + 12
