Simon Higgins

Simon Higgins
Simon Higgins has worked as a police officer, prosecutor and private investigator before turning to writing full-time. His hobbies include Kendo, designing computer games and restoring the rainforest on his rural property in NSW. Simon has written the best-selling Dr Id and Thunderfish and his latest book is Beyond the Shaking Time.
Keynote title: Life - the write stuff (Yr 8)
Simon will enthrall his audience with anecdotes and true-life law enforcement stories. He shows how his experiences surface in his work and includes some simple concepts students can use in their own writing.

Workshop title: Writing secrets in plain language (Yr 8)
Writing skills and ideas made simple with quick, easy exercises and fun techniques using examples from film, TV and popular computer games.
