Scotch Literature Festival  >  Shane Maloney

Shane Maloney

Shane Maloney
Shane Maloney lives in Melbourne and is a well-known newspaper columnist and writer. In his acclaimed political thriller The Big Ask he includes this delicious disclaimer, "The author of this book, its settings and its characters are entirely fictitious. There is no such place as Melbourne…". Shane has an exceptional gift for language and writes fluently in both English and Strine.
Keynote title: Crime fiction - The writer's viewpoint
Workshop title: Investigating writing - time for crime (Yr 11,12)

Shane takes students on an explorational journey, the art of whodunnit. This workshop unleashes the devious side of the imagination by conspiring with one of Australia's top crime writers to plot the perfect crime. A fast and furious journey into motives and cunning means - not for the faint hearted.

Session Details: Year 11+ 12
