Scotch Literature Festival 2003  >  Dave Hughes

Dave Hughes

Dave Hughes
Dave Hughes is one of Australia's most impressive stand-up comedians. Impossibly laid back, Dave takes on the persona of a loser, hanging back, taking it far too easy. Unlike some others who take on this persona, the comedy behind Dave's confirmed slacker is razor sharp and artfully timed, sneaking up on the unsuspecting punter.

Dave's stand out appearances on the Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala have propelled him to the top of the bestseller list at Australia's premiere comedy event and earned him an invitation to the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival in 2001. We can now catch Dave on The Glass House on ABC TV every Friday night and on the new RMG Radio station, NOVA 100's breakfast show.

Literature Festival Launch - Friday 8th August
Dave will launch the 2003 Literature Festival at a full school assembly on Friday 8th August.
