Jonathan Harley was the ABC's South Asia correspondent from 1998 to 2002, concentrating on India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. He covered coups, natural catastrophes and countless cricket corruption scandals. Jonathan was the only Australian journalist in Afghanistan on September 11, 2001 and covered the fall of the Taliban. He reported on the 2002 Iraq conflict from Coalition Central Command in Doha, and is currently a reporter and producer with ABC TV's 7.30 Report.
ABC Foreign Correspondent (Yr 10 Workshop)
Lost in Transmission is Jonathan Harley's memoir of his time as the ABC's South Asia correspondent at a time of dramatic change in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It looks at the highs, lows and absurdities of life as a foreign correspondent and the challenge of making sense of the world when you're a stranger in a strange land.
