Sounds like rock
(Year 9 performance)
This rock show is high energy, fun, informative and crammed with full-on rock music. Kicking off with well known rock songs, it leaps back to the musical influences that formed Rock n' Roll such as Blues, Country & Western and Gospel.
It explores how the sound of rock changed with the introduction of the electric solid body guitar by Leo Fender in the 50's, then the invention of distortion pedals and sound effects. Students will recognise many of the songs that have survived the test of time or become hits again.
