Archie Fusillo

Archie Fusillo
Archie Fusillo was born in Melbourne in 1962 to Italian migrants. He works as a secondary school teacher and was nominated for the Victorian Teacher Excellence Award. His best-selling adolescent novel Sparring with Shadows has struck a chord with young male readers grappling with issues of social identity and peer pressure.
Workshop title: Leaning on words (Yr 7)
Archie will focus on inspiration and where to get it in his workshop. He captivates students and inspires motivation, encouraging creative writing. His enthusiasm and humour ensures students will take with them their own written piece.
