Libby Hathorn
Libby Hathorn is one of Australia's best-known authors for children and young adults. She has won many awards for her work, both in Australia and internationally. Libby has also written educational books and video scripts that are currently in use in Australia and Canada.
Workshop titles: The inside story (Yr 7)
Libby talks about the way in which a writer works from the initial inspiration to the finished piece, and her particular mode and pattern of work.

Book, film, web (Yr 8)
How does a book translate into other media? And to what extent can the creator be involved? Libby talks about her novel Thunderwith becoming a movie and her online the Wishing Cupboard which is in the process of becoming a picture stroybook.

The itinerant story (Yr 9)
Is there a perfect transfer fron book to film? or from book to the web. Libby looks at the importance of story itself.

Story: all you ever need to know (Yr 10)
A day in the life of a writer - Libby discusses The Seven Golden Rules of writing - according to her!

Mindspace (Yr 11,12)
Where do ideas come from? Libby answers the most frequently asked question with details of her own 'journey' from childhood to adulthood and what she considers 'fed the fires' of imagination.
